The Meter Dialogue – view information about a facility/meter

This guide explains how to use the meter view to get an overview of all your meters, dive deeper into data with the meter dialogue, and analyze collection statistics.

The Meter View – See an overview of your meters

The meter view is your starting point for managing and monitoring your meters. Here, you can see a complete list of all meters in your organization, or in a specific selection you have created.

The Meter Dialogue – View information about a single meter

The meter dialogue is your primary source for detailed information about a specific facility or meter. You can open it in two ways:

  • Click on the facility number in a list.
  • Tap on a meter in the Map view.

What can you find in the Meter Dialogue?

In the meter dialog, you get a complete overview of the meter. Here you can, among other things:

  • View historical data: Use the date selector to view hourly values and other history. You can also see the minimum, maximum, and average values in the meter list for individual meters.
  • Track events: See a timeline of events and alarms for the meter.
  • See technical information: Get information about which gateway the meter communicates with, signal strength (RSSI), and other technical details.
  • Export data: You can export meter values to a csv-file directly from the meter dialog for further analysis.

Events

Under the Events tab, you can see a detailed timeline of everything that has happened with your meter. Here, you can see when the meter was created in EVO, which could be either when it was first added or when it was replaced, for example, due to a fault or a revision change. You can also see all alarms from the meter, including the start time and the eventual end time for each alarm.

Most alarms from meters with Elvaco modules are automatically translated in EVO into clear descriptions like "Negative Flow" or "Negative Power". If an alarm lacks a translation, you can find the error code in the meter view under the ALARM CODE field.

Add to the Report view

By using the action button in the meter dialog, you can add the meter to your report view for further analysis. For a full review of the report view, see our guide Analyze and export data with Reports.
