Troubleshooting

The product does not respond to M-Bus master commands

Cause
  • Fault in connection/configuration.

Solution

Verify that:

  • Voltage over M-Bus connection is between 21 VDC and 42 VDC.

  • All M-Bus slaves connected to the M-Bus master have unique primary addresses or secondary addresses, depending on addressing mode.

  • M-Bus master baud rate is identical to M-Bus slave baud rate.

The product cannot control the connected unit

Solution

Disconnect the cables to the unit to be controlled, e.g. the actuator. Measure the output with a multimeter while an M-Bus command is sent to change the output. If this works, there is probably an error in the connection to the input of the unit to be controlled.
