Important information about Elvaco products requiring security keys (LoRaWAN, NBIoT, WM-Bus and sensor products)

Reason: If the end customer should be able to join their newly purchased Elvaco products requiring security keys to their network, they must first own them both physically and digitally.

You own them digitally by adding and claiming them to your EVO organisation, found at https://evo.elvaco.se. This system will ensure a secure management of your device keys.

If you have bought the modules directly from Elvaco

you will receive an invitation to the platform EVO via E-mail, triggered by Elvaco.

Log in to your EVO account https://evo.elvaco.se and claim your devices to your organisation.

If you have not bought the modules directly from Elvaco

that specific reseller will create your EVO user account and organisation. You will receive an invitation to the platform EVO via E-mail, triggered by reseller.

Log in to your EVO account https://evo.elvaco.se and claim your devices to your organisation.

If you are a reseller that plans to distribute Elvaco products requiring security keys to your end customers you will need to pass the devices on from your EVO account to the end customers user account.

If the user account is missing, you will need to invite the user to EVO. If the correct organisation is missing for the end customer, it needs to be created by you.

There is two ways to transfer the devices between organisations.

1. Create a batch with no specified organisation as a receiver. Anyone with the batch name can take ownership of that batch and claim the devices within it.

2. Transfer the batch directly from one organisation to another. This requires a partnership between the organisations. You will automatically become a partner to an organisation that you have created yourself.

When purchasing any of our products requiring security keys from Elvaco you will receive an email from our warehouse department. 

It will contain information about your EVO batch of modules. 
(When buying devices from a reseller, this procedure can differ.)

Log in to your EVO account, and In the top right corner, press the 9 dots.

Choose "Device catalog" 

Now, under "devices" at the left side of your screen, choose "Take ownership"

Insert your batch reference received in your email. In this example ELV_SOXXXXXX

Label it if you want to add some additional information, then press save. 

All your devices in this batch will be available in your device list. If they do not show immediately, try to log out and log in again, or refresh your browser.

As an end user (and not a reseller or man-in-the-middle) you should claim the devices to your account. You can only download security keys for claimed devices.

If you are a reseller or a man-in-the-middle, you should NOT claim the keys. If you do, the keys will be locked to your organisation without the possibility to unclaim and without the possibility to transfer the devices to an end customer.
